Homemade Strawberry Yogurt Popsicles

I can’t believe it is already summer and the weather is getting warmer every day! This time of the year everything is better frozen! Frozen lemonade, frozen grapes, frozen coffee, so why not some make your own frozen yogurt popsicle!

_DSC0871Here is what I used:

  • 2 two containers of Chobiani Greek Yogurt we didn’t have plain so I used a strawberry and a blueberry.
  • 10-12 large, fresh strawberries
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 5-7 tbsp sugar you could not use sugar or use your sweetener of choice.

Things you’ll need:

  • Frying pan
  • Popsicle maker
  • Mixing bowls

To start I did a rough chop of all the strawberries and mixed them in the water and sugar, and then put them on the stove to make them in to a smashed strawberry compote.

Once the berries softened up and the water and sugar formed into a tasty sauce, I transfer them into a mixing bowl and have them cool down to room temperature, about 10-15 mins.

While they were cooling, I mix the two containers of Greek yogurt together in a large mixing bowl.

When the compote cooled, I spooned some of it into the bottoms of the Popsicle container and the rest into the yogurt mixture to have the strawberry chucks throughout the yogurt. Then I added the yogurt mix to the Popsicle container and put the tops on. Let them freeze for 4-6 hours._DSC0926

The great thing about these yogurt pops are you can make them however you want. Try adding raspberries and lime juice for a refreshing summer taste!

Until next time!
